A decade after their well-received collaboration, Louis Vuitton will launch its second collaboration with 93-year-old Japanese artist artist Yayoi Kusama. First revealed on the Cruise 2023 runway show at the Salk Institute in San Diego, the new Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama Collection will bring the artist’s signature dots to the Maison’s creations. Yayoi Kusama x Louis Vuitton: A Collaboration of Creativity


Louis Vuitton teamed up with Japanese author and artist Yayoi Kusama to create a collection of clothing and accessories, featuring Kusama’s iconic dots throughout.

‘It’s really charming,’ Marc Jacobs told WWD of the collaboration. ‘It has the essence of the spirit of her work.’ The Louis Vuitton designer designated Vuitton’s monogram and Kusama’s dots as ‘both timeless and endless.’

The limited-edition Kusama collection will include silk pajama separates, trench coats, and even a wristwatch. The French Maison plans to introduce an iPhone app dedicated to the artist, which will allow users to customize their own photos with the artist’s favorite motifs.
