Bang & Olufsen, Samsung launch Serenata phone
Danish home theater designer Bang & Olufsen and its partner Samsung today made the promised release of the Serenata. The new version greatly expands on the almost exclusively calling-oriented Serene with a much stronger emphasis on music: a dedicated music key brings up a music player and an iPod-like, touch-sensitive scroll wheel is used to pick tracks as well as place calls. The phone stores a relatively large 4GB of music through built-in flash and plays AAC, MP3, and the rare WMA Lossless formatThere is now word on the pricing of Bang & Olufsen and Samsung’s Serenata music phone as yet, but rest assured it’s going to be steep. Beolab 9 Speakers from Bang & Olufsen
Bang & Olufsen have released the BeoLab 9 speakers. They feature Bang & Olufsen’s special Acoustic Lens technology which allows the listener to hear perfect sound no matter where the speakers are placed in the room. That works out nice because the outward design (although they are available in your choice of four colors) is largely based on maximizing performance. But they’re also stacked with a long list of high-tech specs and fancy features, which makes the Beolab 9 speakers a very nice mix of form meets function.
