Adele Graces Vogue’s Front Page with Unmatched Elegance

After bagging six Grammy Awards on February 12, Adele dolled up for Vogue’s March 2012 cover. Captured by photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the 23-year-old singer spilled the beans on her experience.

On walking the red carpet: “I hate the red carpet. I don’t feel insecure, I just feel like, Oh, I don’t want to do this. I literally get a stomach cramp. At the VMA’s last year I felt really out of my comfort zone because there were so many superstars there. But that’s been the case from day one. I never feel like, Oh, yeah, I should be here. And I was missing my best friend’s hen night. So I was a bit bitter that I wasn’t there, to be perfectly honest.”

On her Grammy nominations: “I burst into tears when I found out. And I would love, absolutely love, to win. This record is coming to an end, and that would be the final brick on it.”
